Eco-Friendly

The Eco-Friendly Club of Bharath College of Education is a student-led initiative dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible citizenship among future educators. Rooted in the green and fertile lands of the Kavery Delta Region, the club aims to create a culture of respect and care for nature, both within the campus and in the surrounding communities.

Vision:

Objectives:

  • To raise awareness about environmental issues such as pollution, waste management, biodiversity, and climate change.
  • To promote sustainable practices like recycling, composting, water conservation, and green energy.
  • To encourage eco-literacy among student teachers for integrating environmental education into school curricula.
  • To organize clean-up drives, tree plantation, eco-campaigns, and workshops.
  • To collaborate with local bodies and NGOs for community-based environmental projects.

Activities & Initiatives:

  • Green Campus Program: Plantation drives, herbal garden maintenance, and plastic-free zones.
  • World Environment Day Celebrations: Rallies, poster-making, and eco-themed competitions.
  • Workshops & Seminars: Sessions on sustainable teaching practices, organic farming, and energy conservation.
